Split Air Conditioners

A split system is well suited to air condition one room or area of your home. You may choose from discreet wall-mounted models or versatile floor and ceiling units. Split systems are available in ‘cooling only’ or ‘reverse cycle’ (heating and cooling), plus you can choose from inverter or fixed speed models.

Wall mounted split systems range from the whisper quiet 2.5kW units up to the powerful 10kW models. The average bedroom or small office would typically require the 2.5kW or 3.5kW units. Larger rooms or living areas may use the bigger units depending on room size and individual heat loads. Please contact us for a quote to suit your own personal needs and application.

The location of the indoor head unit will be selected based on air flow, aesthetic appeal and proximity to the outdoor unit. The closer you are able to position the indoor and outdoor units, the neater the appearance and better value it will be. The outdoor unit will be mounted on wall brackets with anti-vibration mounts or located on a polyslab on the ground below. Talk to one of our consultants for the solution that suits you best.

Multi-split Systems

A Daikin Multi-split System can air condition up to nine rooms using only one outdoor unit. Multi-split systems are ideal for situations where there is limited space for outdoor units or insufficient ceiling space for ducting. They also allow for individual control of the air conditioning in each room, optimising comfort levels and offering savings on running costs, as wastage is eliminated by only air conditioning rooms as you need to.

Ducted Air Conditioners

A ducted System can provide total air conditioned comfort throughout your new or existing home. The indoor unit is usually located in the ceiling space with flexible ductwork distributing conditioned air through vents located in chosen areas throughout the house. The compressor is usually installed outside the home. A ducted air conditioning system gives you the flexibility of operation in two or more areas in your home. This means you can run it in the living areas during the day and in the bedrooms at night, providing ultimate comfort for you and your family.

Inverter Vs Fixed Speed

Inverter air conditioners are more powerful yet more energy efficient than conventional, non-inverter models. Conventional air conditioners operate at a fixed speed, delivering a fixed amount of cooling and heating. While trying to maintain a set temperature they operate on a 'stop/start' principle. This also explains why inverter systems are a little quieter than more conventional models.

An inverter works like the accelerator of a car, gently increasing or decreasing power. It reaches the desired temperature quicker and steadily maintains it without wild fluctuations. That means uninterrupted comfort and significant savings on running costs. Inverters are more expensive at initial purchase stage, but save money on running costs as a long term investment.
